Okay, I was just trying to be cute. A lot of the chaos guys here run 4 tank hunting autocannon havocks, so that might colour my perspective.

at bs4.
13.5 tank hunting autocannon
20.25 autocannon

27 str 8 shots (at bs4) to down a monolith.

edit: reworded some stuff

except tank hunter does't work on monoliths

so thats 27 innefective shots since S7 can't get through AV 14

Amen brother. I was waiting for one of the number crucnchers to pipe up. I have now played so many games against the Falcon and talk from experience. If you don't build a list dedicated to talking down skimmers you will be hard pressed to deal with a three Falcon/Railhead list. Holofields/Decoy launchers are just to much on a skimmer.

Here's the thing, though.  You don't HAVE to kill them.  It doesn't take very much firepower to Shake them, which stops them shooting, though it doesn't stop them delivering the Dragons.  Once you've Shaken them, you can direct the rest of your fire on the rest of the army, and you can deal with the cargo once it arrives.  The Falcons do deny some points, but if they can't do damage themselves and you can kill the rest of the Eldar army, you're still ahead.

It's nothing like dealing with the Rhino Rush was in 3rd edition, when if you couldn't stop (kill or Immobilize; the other four results on the Glancing chart were totally irrelevant)  3-4 Rhinos in the first two turns you were basically dead against any close combat SM or CSM army in the game, which were a darn sight more common than Snakes on a Plane are (or are likely to become).
