Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

cuda1179 - "Well, I wonder if they will include it in the new IG codex."

Is there any need for a new IG codex? Is there anything (majorly) wrong with the one we have.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

IMHO, no, it's not needed. Some people will disagree and I don't play in a cut-throat environment.

A few of the doctrines are pants - but since GW is likely to just abandon them rather then fix them, I'm perfectly happy to have C:IG left alone rather than given the Dark Angels treatment (every Infantry squad must include a Commissar at +40 points, to compensate Chimeras are 15 points cheaper...).

Theres really no reason to add it to the IG codex.

This is part of the higher end battles. JJ stated at Adepticon that anything changes the way the game is played (baring the release of V5.) will be released in a separate expansion. With that in mind it makes sense for the Baneblade/Stompa/whatever to show up in that new book, not the main book.

My main question is what kind of rules set the model is going to run on.   Will it be similar to the current Forge World rules,or will they completely revamp it?  I assume it's going to be tweaked some,to go along with the rules suppliment they're releasing.

That, my friend, is a great question.

If (and I do mean if), the codex apocalypse expansion does contain rules for super-heavy vehicles you can expect those rules to be 'on top of' the existing rule-set rather than a whole new set of rules.

This was something Jervis was clear about for future expansions. They were never going to release expansions like the original Cityfight codex that had it's own semi-ruleset, rather any rules released in an expansion will now simply sit on top of the existing rules like the current Cities of Death ones do.

What would be really interesting is if this expansion goes in a totally different direction with their Super-heavy rules than Forgeworld has been doing. What then? Will Forgeworld start to change their rules, or continue under their own system?

It should be interesting if all this turns out to be true.
