That will make it AU$80 if it's the same as the Golgoth. (And that's a store selling at under "Recommended Retail Price"). Too much.

The Eldar Wraithlord you mentioned before is $65RRP, and from the store I mentioned before, $60. If the Snake were that much I'd definately consider it.

The Wraithlord is 35 at our place and definitely smaller than the Snake.

So is this game for playing, or what?

The rules I saw looked interesting... The models look interesting... But how does it all come together?

Do they have a proper point buy system in place? If so, is the game balance any good? The rules I saw were with the intro set that had prebuilt battles, so no points.

Long story short, should I buy some models and teach one of my friends to play it?

That's about double what I'd be willing to pay.

Unsold.

@Phryxis

AT is a very strategic game that rests on a command point system. Heros and officers are not all-killing powermachines. The system is point based. If you want to get a more in-depth look into the game try this excerpt from the advanced rules.

From a gamers point of view: Read the advanced rules and if you like em.... go for it.

What comes after Red Blok?

And how will they handle expansions?

Karman will come after Red Block, as it seems starting in August. According to rumours 8 races have been designed up until now.

Expansions will show up in books that add to the books at hand and do not replace them.

8 races designed? Woot!
I've got to admit, the White Stars/Red Block/Therians have seemed pretty generic. Which is only to be expected when launching a new game. But the Karmans have got my attention, and the attention of many others in my gaming group. It remains to be seen how innovative they really will be, but they look cool so far. I look forward to the new races with great anticipation.

The Karmans:

it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Ok, THAT I'd hit.

EDIT: Maybe pre-paints will be my chance to practice some freehand designs...

Not just an intelligent gorilla. An intelligent gorilla with an eyepatch.

But where is the cigar?

That is an eyepatch, right?

Top: chest-thumping.
Lower left: eyepatch.
Lower right: yes, Virginia, he is smoking a cigar.
