:S

So, if you're only interested in hearing the opinions or two or three people on all of Dakka, why don't you just email them rather than using the message board?

It seems like it would save you time and needless arguments.

Buoyancy, don't start with me again. You are so !@#$ing stupid it amazes me.
I'm stupid? You're the person who thinks that we are naive enough to believe your tall tales about people who win against tough opponents using the Dark Angels codex. You're the person who refused to provide any data, and instead demanded that we treat your worthless anecdotes as though they contained useful information. You're the person who isn't even capable of making basic statistical calculations of the expected outcomes of dice rolls.
I never said not to take advice from people off the net, hell I used lots of advice when crafting my DE list and I learned a lot (like how freakin awesome the Xenospasm is). My rant was towards people who just find the uber list online and rote copy it. I do not think that adds anything to the hobby.
You know, perhaps you should go back and read Phryxis' first response to your incredibly insulting first post in this thread. You know, the one where he states: "I'm not some guy who only has a pirated BA list that I won with and didn't understand, and now I need somebody to give me a new one. Don't presume that just because I ask for "broken" lists, I'm some newb looking for easy answers. I'm a tired old veteran looking for easy answers, and I've painted enough armies, had enough opponents gush over how great they look and how fun I am to play, that I don't really care how it sounds." But then, understanding what he wrote would require you to be able to read beyond the elementary school level.
BTW, who are the gaming authorities and where do they hold their evaluations of online opinions?  Or is this just more of your BS?
Well, you certainly aren't one, since you're nothing more than a GW fanboy (Or possibly just your standard viral marketer type). An expert would be somebody who has won multiple national level tournaments, or somebody who has equivalent experience. Anybody else's online opinion is worth only the paper it's printed on.
Do you realize the irony of what you just said (not to mention that online posts aren't printed on paper)?

So why are we arguing then?  Neither of us have won several GT's so neither of us are qualified to have an opinion about 40k.  So your opinion of my opion of the DA codex or Nidzilla forces or Mech Eldar are completely meaningless.  In fact, right below your post is some really good advice from VooDoo but since he isn't a multiple GT winner (AFAIK) it is meaningless.

Grow up, stop being a troll, and go away.

@ Phryxis - I apologize if I offended you personally in my original post, that was not my intention. However, I was not the first one to throw an insult, nor have I attacked your integrity (in fact I tried my best to go out of my way not to) nor questioned your sexual orientation.

I call on you to "be a man" as well and realize that you have totally overreacted to my original post and taken this way too personally.

But I won't expect you to apologize, that would be futile. Please just accept mine for my part and listen to VooDoo for help creating your army as his advice is good.

Point - Phyrixis! (I never care if I spell it right)

Ozymandias backs down, tail between his legs!

While the first part of your apologetic post is passive agressive nonsense, the last sentence is what you really mean, and we'll all assume that its all you had to say.

"Please just accept mine for my part and listen to VooDoo for help creating your army as his advice is good."

Now actually Ozy, just go back and edit your post so that sentence is the only thing in it.

Whitedragon, why do you even bother to post? I was hoping to end this civilly and make amends with Phryxis as I did not intend to insult him in my original post, but instead you have to get the last word in and act like a general jackass. I will not edit my post and I stand by what I put.

It's little bastards like you and Bouyancy who decided they want to get involved and start acting like little trolls trying to restart everything. I really hope you are just immature and will grow up one day or are just hiding behind net anonymity and that you don't actually behave this way in RL. If you do, then all I can say is that I feel truly sorry for you.

You cannot make amends with someone if you attempt to throw it in their face that you are taking the high road. Can you not read what you just posted? If you are truly wish to apologize to someone, a simple "I'm sorry" usually suffices.

Try it.

As for everything else, this is a public internet forum. Which means, that even if we aren't involved, everyone's involved. If you wish to make it between you and someone else, we have this wonderful tool called a Private Message, or even E-mail.

There's a difference between adding something to a discussion and flat out trolling. You were doing the latter.

Don't troll. Try it.

Here's a textbook example of the overconfident and undereducated moron syndrome. If you had any education whatsoever, or had any experience online, you would have seen the "it's worth the paper it's printed on" phrase multiple times. You'd have recognized it as the disparaging remark about the worthlessness of something that it is.
So why are we arguing then? Neither of us have won several GT's so neither of us are qualified to have an opinion about 40k.
Which is exactly my point. Your opinion is utterly worthless, so keep it to yourself, or go post it on a forum where fellating GW is the norm.
In fact, right below your post is some really good advice from VooDoo but since he isn't a multiple GT winner (AFAIK) it is meaningless.
Well, he, unlike you, doesn't hide incredibly insulting remarks, outright lies, and false information behind a false layer of civility.

Voodoo: Lots of great info there.

Seems like the big bug portion of the list is pretty simple to sort out. Dakkafexes and Gunfexes are fairly obvious, and the exact loadout is even pretty standard. The real question is the filler.

Genestealers seem like a really good compliment since they're already a solid value, and they don't need Synapse to work, which could be a problem for a Zilla army (no Warriors). What would you think about a Brood Lord in this list? The Brood Lord himself has a great statline, but it seems that he will take FoF off his retinue, which makes them significantly worse as assault troops.

Also, what's everyone's outlook on Tyranid WYSIWYG and biomorphs? Normally I'm very anal about WYSIWYG, but when it comes to Tyranids there's two big problems I have with it. One is that I'm not sure enough on how I want to build some parts of the list, I'd hate to lock myself into having venom sacs or whatever else, where I later find I don't want them (or vice versa). The other is that I sorta hate the way they look. Venom sacs look kinda like infected nutsacs hanging off their elbows, and I'm just not a fan of that look. I'm sure people will be fine in friendly games, but if I ever want to take the army anywhere official, will there be issues? I can see why people would want a weapon symbiote to be what it actually is, but biomorphs? It seems like people don't generally model frag grenades on Marines that have them, so is this the same thing?

Also, are the Warhammer Fantasy Dragon wings the best place for Flyrant wings? Any others that are... A little less out of stock at BWBits?

Ozymandius: I accept your apology and also apologize for my part in escalating things. I promise though, I wasn't angry, it's an internet flame, it requires a certain level of dramatic license.
