Absolute nonsense, just like your last post.

The rules never say pick a direction, they don't even use the word direction.

Fleet and jet assault phase moves say to move D6" and 6", they don't say move up to the distance. Lash also doesn't say move up to, but similarly with fleet and jet assault moves, you can move up to, since you are using the movement phase rules, just like fleet and jet assault moves.

There is no support that they have to move the full distance. It says the player moves them 2D6", same as jet assault moves say you move 6".

I think the key part is that "dangerous terrain tests are taken as normal." Jump infantry that end their move in difficult terrain normally have to take dangeorus terrain test, therefore jump infantry moved into difficult terrain due to the Lash have to take a dangerous terrain test.

As to moving less then 2D6", since the rule doesn't speak of straight lines or ending their movement a certain distance from the start point, even if you had to move the full distance, it could be in a arc with a length are equal to 2D6", resulting in a displacement of less then 2D6".

The key is that jump infantry may choose to "walk" in difficult terrain, and by doing so do not have to take a difficult terrain test.  I don't know how you guys are going to play it, but until I get a FAQ, I'm taking the less advantageous option and saying that the jump infantry counts as walking.

Angron- crushing the theme and fluff of armies one horde at a time.
