Snoogums,

I appreciate your earlier feedback regarding where you believe I've misrepresented pure magic cylinder players but I would also ask that you Salicious refrain from turning this thread into yet another pointless argument. You guys are basically just going around in the exact same circle of argumentation shown in the article.

I would go through in a point by point basis and attempt to counter the arguments you've laid out in your above reply but I'm pretty sure short of getting a games designer to give you a call on the phone you are never going to take a step back and consider that you could possibly be incorrect.

I would just implore you to consider one more thing: When you add the 3 different styles of play that allow LOS to be drawn over vehicles and size 3 creatures (Pure Model's Eye View, Friendly Model's Eye View & Magic Cylinder Lite) that equals 90% of the players in the game. That leaves you in the tiny minority of 10% of the players who believe that LOS cannot be drawn over vehicles and size 3 creatures.

We've had 100 votes in that poll, that's a pretty good chunk of people for a sample. We're talking 9 out of 10 people read the rulebook and come to the conclusion that LOS can be drawn over vehicles and size 3 creatures. Perhaps you believe that most 40K players are idiots and cannot read but I urge you to take a moment and think about this fact.

90% of people read the exact same rulebook as you and come to the 100% opposite conclusion from what you assert. Could it possibly be that you are wrong? Is that a possibility? Or must it be that the 90 people are misguided fools while the 10 are the misunderstood geniuses?

Well, less than 10% of the population have the I.Q. to be considered geniuses according to Stanford-Binet, so maybe....

False argument, the poll was:

FOR THIS POLL, PLEASE ANSWER HOW YOU CHOOSE TO PLAY THE GAME, NOT NECESSARILY WHAT THE RULES AS WRITTEN (RAW) SAY.

I voted magic cylinder lite (so I'm not even part of the "10%" because that's how the people in my area play for the most part. I will note that all the new players go with ye old magic cylinder on the first read and the people who have played past editions are the ones who insist on True LOS to see over. Obviously I should just stop posting since I don't agree with the majority though right? About 50% disagree about how far to the sides of the model the LOS is blocked so it isn't some 90% super majority all agree on what a model blocks.

But I guess he didn't deserve a snide reply since his question was answered in the first two paragraphs of the post he was replying to. The would punish him for not reading my reply, which is what I made fun of. I guess that is just failure on my part to expect him to read what he was replying to.  I'm such an ass.
