You should read p.24 again. Now...are those Exorcists Adeptus Sororitas units?
No.

well, wehrkind is wrong in that it it IS possible to field both units at once, however he makes a point in that you cannot do it if you are taking Witch Hunters as allies. You can only do it if you are taking Allied Space Marines, and excise all units with the Adeptus Sororitus rule from the list. He appears to be talking about taking the Sisters as allies, in wich case there is NFW.

Ahh you are correct Vogel that it is "Adeptus Sororitas" that lit disallows, not 'Battle Sisters' which are what crew the Exorcist. I had merged the two in my head, and had to double check. Only if they use Latin to refer to them is it illegal. So you can technically take Sister's vehicles, but not the girls themselves.
Go go rules developement!

Thanks for the positive comments ,always nice to read.Grizgrin, i think the ceapest way to get the IG as ally is to select a mechanized infantry squad in a chimera , good unit ,the chimera is a good tank IMO and you get to use the long range firepower. For tank busting ,i use seraphims, exorcists , flyers and celestians . I put 4 melta guns ,1 vet sister, and a priest in an immolator with HB ,move 12, disembark ,shoot the HB ,shoot the meltas , and usually whatever was there is gone . Works just as well with flamers against infantry . In an APOC game i had two squads like these exit from a walkyrie between a defiler and a predator and blowing them up both !!;

yeah, not just looking for the cheapest ways to get IG in there (ie, the Russ). I would need to make the grunts work for their money as well. They can help the most w/ ranged AT. I guess I would ave been more clea saying that. Infantry Platoons seem to be the cheapest ay to get the most lascannons in there for th points. A chimera is decent forit's points, but it doesn't offer anythign I can't get from the girls, really.
\Yeah, the girls can be really good at short AT, but you get a couple of the wrong rhinos shot and entangled and you have problems. I guess htere really is no other way to deliver the girls, you can't try and have the seraphim do ALL the heavy lifting!
God, what I would give for drop pods for my girls... sigh. Could you imagine the hatred?

well i can of wonder why sisters don't have drop pods ,why seraphs can't deep strike .
This said in our last battle ,i ,used both (with my chaotic enemy consent )and it was a great fight ,but we won maybe a bit too easily .
We play mostly on urvan terrain ,and SOBs do great there , because LOSs are shorter . What kills us is arty and HTH with the likes of Orks mobs and terminator type.Got my ass really slaughtered against an all terminator army last year ,

i play a mad 2000pt SM army with WH and DH allies.
hq, chaplain
hq2 DH inquisitor with plasma cannon guy and 2 BS pumpers
elites are dreads for SM and callidus for DH
troops are 2 SM squads, 2 big WH SOB squads, and 2 DH storm trooper squads.
HS is vind, annihilator, annihilator.
plenty of long range with the ANNilhilators and the PC, the PC gets a is BS4 with a reroll, i very rarely miss with it. i make the SM squads short range and add the chap to one of them. short range mayhem with sisters bolters, and stormies plasma guns.
it is difficult to work with sometimes but with so much on the field, iot usually covers all objectives in the end. there is just so damn much to kill.

I once fancied making a "SoB" army with allied SM
It went something like this:
Inquisitor Lord
Assasin (callidus or eversor, i prefer Callidus usually)
2x Squads of Stormtroopers (Maybe chimeras, maybe not)
4x Las/Plas tacticals
3x2 LS-tornados
3x Exorcists
The army would even be legal as Exorcists dont count as "sister" units (they arent mentioned in the SoB termionology).
The lack of real assault-units would have hampered the armys usefulness a little
