Funny story. There was a guy in my gaming group who played Necrons. He painted them all gold and gave them these poofy afro hats. His monolith was also painted gold and had a shiny disco ball instead of the green prism thing. The best part though was his Lord had a converted pimp staff and a leopard print cape with a giant hat. Hilarious looking army... and then it would rock you.

Man, the Pimp Marine Scouts need to wear basket ball jerseys and crooked baseball caps over doo-rags. And instead of Imperial crosses on chains, they need platinum Jesus faces, possibly with saphire eyes.
And you need to have one Sgt. Upgraydde, with two D's for a double dose of pimpin'.

The space marine painter has a "Go To Wargear" button under the marine pane. None of the other painters have this though, hence one of the reasons my chaos marines look much more "freshly renegade" than "hardened horny veterans" 
And my girl is just sensible - black and brown handle the stains of playing dirty all the better
