To chime in with an earlier post, these definitely look 'Mid-Heresy' rather than 'Pre-Heresy', but pretty damned sweet all the same.

I must say, I was hoping to see a Captain Garro miniature. Alas! It was not to be.

@ Vandez: I do have a Garro model which I sometimes use as my Lord, but it didn't fit in with the rest of my models so I just stopped fielding him.

I'm looking for a suitable model to represent Mortarion.
This army definitely needs Mortarion as a Daemon Prince.

I strated assembling this army some three months ago and now it's finished. I don't think I can work any faster, I'm exhausted.
Although it's nice to know that I can knock out an army in three months

Oh well, here we go. If there's something I feel I need to say or point out of something, I'll point it out after the picture. And a deeper analysis after the pictures.

Rhinos:


Three of them, One w/extra armour. I wanted that one to be more weathered than the two. Also I think the regular Dozer Blades look too big so I slapped on a piece of a Corpse Cart to represent Dozer Blade:




The Land Raider:





Some might think the weathering is over the top, but I wanted to make it look like an ancient relic. It had to be more weathered than the Rhino.
Oil leaks, soot, rust and scratches. Also, the Heavy Bolter pill is waitng for a suitably sized skull to go on top.

The Termies/Deathshroud:




I'm pleased with these fellas. I fixed the Autocannon since someone pointed out that is should be a Reaper Autocannon. So chop! and a little plastic tube. I think that the red contrast color works especially well on these boys.

Nothing fancy, only a little soot/explosion marks from Plasma overheating.
Squad 4:



Close combat monster Dread Garro:





Again, I used the red as a contrast color. I was going to use white on the scarf to tie him with Mortarion but I went for red and used it as a "rank color". The PM's have no red, Termies have a little and Dread Garro has even more.

Some Sabol case foams and one of the Battlefoam custom ones:


All these fit into the Sabol Armytransport case. It's the best case ever.

Well, folks, that's basically it.
There are still some minor detail here and there to be painted but I will paint them over a long period of time. I'll take a long pause from painting and concentrate on gaming. When my painting finger starts to itch, I'll go over and paint the detail. A little tuning and updating...


That's it for now, I think I have done quite a massive work in three months.
Now I have to rest for a few days and then it's time to give some tender loving care to him:

did you make your own decals on the land raider, if so what program /size settings/ paper all that did you use? If you bought them where did you get them. I like all your chipping paint and aged metal look. Nice work.

I think the song is all about Death Guard and I've always wanted to use the song somehow in my army.
