I have always been a big fan of landraiders and all their SM variants such as the Prometheus and Crusader patterns. I used to run two landraiders with daemonic possession in my Plague Marine army as heavy support. Sure they are expensive point-wise and take a fair amount of time to model and paint but they look like something hardened SM veterans would take for would ride to battle.

Some of the missions in this tournament did favor infantry in cover with a mission being +1 to coversaves meaning craters make good bunkers for troops and now your fighting an army of +3 covers. The Hellhounds while good are too few and often targeted due to their lesser armor. Believe it or not it was the eldar armies that provided the most trouble for me, lance weapons make mockery of landraiders still and the lack of a psychic hood hurt when a simple eldrich storm killed a landraider. Harlies work good with fusion pistols and a bad roll on VoT means they will run up, shoot and assault you.

Funny thing is I took this army to a pure battle tournament and got so much flak for the army that its just not worth the moaning players will give me for it.

Why did you not take a psychic hood on the Inquisitor Lord? It seems like a no-brainer.

You are not the first person who asked this.

His list could be improved by dropping a Leman Russ and adding a basilisk and a psychic hood with the points left over.

This was my first real list but with most of my armies it would require tweaks. I turned in the armylist a week before the tournament and I realized that I forgot the psychic hood.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.
