It doesn't need to appeal to more hardcore gamers. There are enough WOW players, like Malfred Said, that even if a small percentage of them buy a few packs, they should be golden.

Yeah, I get it. But making a good game can lead to making more money, too. And making a bad game can lead to making less money. As in this case, it's looking like I won't be purchasing any miniatures for this game. Luckily for Blizzard, they have a massive WOW fan-base to fall back on, and that's not something most new miniatures games can rely on. But still, they won't be getting my money (at least not for this - I am a huge fan of Blizzards PC games).
