a lascannon is 25pts, missile launcher is 15. lets see 5pts more and i get two missile launchers (15*2=30, 25+5=30) if i am doing the math correctly. finding 5pts to spend in 40k is like finding a penny on the sidewalk...not too hard

and stelek you don't have to blow the tank up, damaging a main gun or it's movement is damage enough to claim half victory points, and the lascannon still only pens AV 14 on a 6+ glancing on a 6. not a whole big difference there except for the fact of a possible pen. when i used to use lascannons i rarely if ever got a pen, and even then did only minor damage to the vehicle. i'd rather pay 5pts more and have a whole slew of different things i could do with the two missile launchers each turn, but see that's just me, and apparently my opinion is completely wrong because the 40k masters say so. sry for invoking your terrible wrath!
