Skaskull wrote:Thanks. I saw this and was thinking about it, but it's kind of a rip off isn't it? For $22 you can get 10 boyz and a nob (so 11 boyz to make it easy) that's about $2 a boy plus all the extra bitz. On the site its $7 for 5 legs about $1.40 per leg.
I'll think about it though since it's still cheaper than $2 per leg.

Has anyone purchased from that store, and have anything to say about the service ect.?

The warstore is one of the most reliable stores on the internet as far as I'm concerned.

Bits services are able to exist because they chop up plastic frames and sell the bits that are more in demand for an additional cost. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth it for them to do so. So yes, you pay more for legs this way, but it's a choice you get to make: pay more overall for the whole set, or pay less for just the legs (with a surcharge added based on desirability of the leg bits).

Check out the fantasy orc legs: 8 for 8.99 (around $1.12 each).

The 40k ork legs: 5 for 7.99 (around $1.60 each).

Not a lot of difference, but I'm a college student so everything helps. The legs are, with a little work, interchangeable as well.

The fantasy legs are a good call. Thanks for the idea. I'm a college student too so a penny saved is a good idea!!

I just got a unit of 20 stormboyz, have not used them yet.
I am worried that with such large numbers that, at times, their won't be enough cover to protect them.
It's not easy to conceal 20 orcs all the time, (table/terrain differances)

I run 20 and 16 that deep strike. Personally everyone around here is hellbent on tons of lootas. I personally dont like that. I know they are effective but then it starts to look like my guard list.

so that's just the standard burna fuel tank tops on the backpacks? Looks a lot better than I'd expected, although i'd still probably add a couple of discs of plasticard to make them look longer.

I think the exhaust pipes look too weedy - but simply adding more of them, all slightly different lengths, would soon fix that.

For anyone making lootas, using the spare burna bits to make stormboys like this seems really good value

Did you use storm boy bodies or just regular boyz bodies? I almost feel the regular boy body would be easier to glue the jump pack onto anyways, since it has a flater surface. I spent so long gluing those packs onto their backs.

A total side note, but probably more on topic than the current discussion, seeing how this is a Tactics forum;

The question I raised earlier about Zagstruk being able to infiltrate was made possible because the ork player had Nazdreg on the board as well, who can nominate any Troop or Elite unit as Deep Striking or Infiltrating.

Mind you, this is all under the old Ork Codex, so it's really of no consequence now. Just wanted to clarify.
