I'd recommend checking that out if you haven't, it's pretty amazing, and I only need to divert attention every few hours to 'thumbs up' a new favorite, or 'thumbs down' something sour. It's great. I too must plug Pandora. It has to be the greatest thing in music since the invention of the mp3. For those unfamiliar with it, it's a internet radio station that only plays music you want to hear (and doesn't have dj's, comercials, or other crap getting in the way of the music). You teach it what you like by starting off with an artist or a song you like (artists work better) and then you fine tune it by adding more artists/songs and by giving the songs it plays for you a thumbs up or thumbs down. It is fantastic. All the new music I've found in the last 3ish years has been from things I ran into on Pandora. My musical tastes are a bit out of the ordinary (see the list of Scandinavian symphonic metal bands in my post above) so its not like I run into anything I want to hear on normal radio stations.

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting. |

For me I'll either just have iTunes going on random, or whatever happens to be on tv.. if there's something I actually want to watch, I put the paint down

Always one of three things:
1. Jazz
2. Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes
3. Beavis and Butthead
1 for relaxing, 2 and 3 for laughing

I do not turn on music myself, with only rare exceptions - painting is not one of them.
I generally hear only my cats
although sometimes the neighbors make a lot of noise.
