Put on my blog already. It's not much, barely has began writing it, but well, everyone starts somewhere.

I don't think Dakka is really hurting for members, I doubt that using it on any number of sites would equal a $25 value DCM status.

Seconded. That and you're supposed to become a DCM because you wish to contribute to and support Dakka, not because you've decided to mention it to a couple of other people...

Then why, pray tell, would you put it in your sig on another forum?
Afterall, it is giving dakka FREE exposure, which would be the equivalent to FREE marketing and advertising.
I would say the space in your sig on other forums would be worth at least $25 Advertising.
If you dont believe me, ask a Dakka (or any other forum) Sponsor how much they pay to get space in a banner, which isnt shown as often as our sigs are...
I would hazard that a year's Sponsorship would at least set a Banner Sponsor back $3000, like on Wargamer AU

I'm not saying whether or not it's a worthwhile endeavour to advertise on another form, nor whether it's worth $25, what I'm saying however is that you shouldn't request to be made a DCM as a result, as you're supposed to become a DCM by donating to help support Dakka not through putting something in your signature and posting in other forums. For me at least, it suggests you want to become a DCM for the 'bonuses' rather than your support for Dakka.

Why is the reason for becoming a DCM relevant?
Exposure and advertising IS supporting Dakka.
Your arguement is invalid.
