Well the Roman version of a vampire (well closest approximate) is a screech owl, it's more of a badluck/fairytale monster that attacks naughty children in their sleep.

Btw it's Strix (sing) Strigides (plur).

well there was a latin word for vampyre so i guess they must have had a simmiler thing. thanks for the word strix though, i have a feeling i can twist that somehow

His fluff works best with the BA list. Those who were completely overcome (Death Company) Those who have Full control (Dante, and other ICs) those who still retain their identity (regular marines etc). And for names: Blood Feeders, The Blooded, Blooded Angels (if going loyalist),

The chaos codex doesn't offer any variant lists, pretty much whatever you want to use

hmm. how should i do that. on the standard marines just use chaos marines with dark elf heads and a bite of greenstuff to make the armour look a bit more like its part of the marine (think oblit but not as much).

convert some skeletons (WHFB VC) with a bit of greenstuff to portray starved ones?.

some IG with a few zombie bits would also be good.

and back to the name
sanguine is latin for blood
strix were apprently the roman equivalent
vrykolakas is the latin word for vampire

sanguix? vryx? vrykolanguine? vrykix? vrykostrix? i dont know :S any ideas ?

I would say Nurgle Orks simply because you seem to be quite a bit more fond of the Ork idea at least you do when you type ere about it. Your ideas about how to portray the orks and thier fluff you seem to be alot more concise and less confused on.

Also switching back and forth between SM and CSM is probly going to be pretty confusing for anyone you play against if you change it up between games since you are going to be stipulating guyA= Chaos Lord and now guyA=Chaplian or whatever. I don't think the proxying will be as much of an issue as you changing what the proxy is equivalent too. Just my thoughts on that.

But hey do what apeals to your creativity more whether it is mutated Orks with deamon weapons or undead space marines both sound like alot o fun to model to me.

Vampryn + Vrykolakas = Vrykolakyn.

I prefer the Undead Vampire Marines better than the Nurgle Orks. When playing Chaos, you should use the Mark, and Icons, of Khorne.

orks would be less confusing and i have a few idea's on how to model then. but people seem to think the marines would be better so

Your problem is a very common one....every army in the standard sense has a little something thats just so tempting....its even worse for a non standard army.

The danger you will have on a firum like this however, is pi$$ing people off.....it seems like you're a little impatient for ideas, and when people take the time to offer you "advice" you say..."Right I'll do that", and then you impatiently press for further ideas, before changing your mind yet again....

I'm not having a go at you, but its a drama that we all understand but we really don't need to see it played out, or need to be part of it.

Based on the last two pages you've got a stream of ideas, why not go away and decide what you want to do in private, and then come back when you have a fixed plan and some more direct requirements..

Of course, feel free to ignore me, and I hastily add that everything I've typed is my opinion only....

Man down, Man down....
