Nah, I've got these to use for Krootox.

Here's more fur:

I decided to cut off the frame for the saddle and focus on sculpting the beast, then cast it and sculpt harness on top of that. Leaves me some room for variations.

I need to work on evening out the fur so it flows together. Right now it looks like it was sculpted in sections (which it was).

Cheers,

Great work!

To be honest, I like the face better without the fang. Either that, or extend the fang/slightly bulk the tooth up. As long as you stay fairly minimal (no Flesh Hound Shovel Face Syndrome), it will look good on such a long, sleek beast.

And skipping the saddle at first is a great idea.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

You know, feedback like this reminds me of why I post on forums. It's so easy for me to sometimes deviate from my original idea. I will beef up the fangs a bit, because in all of my drawings they're like smilodon fangs. Thanks!

Glad you like it! As far as the process goes, I start with a wire frame, then add the main body mass in sculpey. I toss that into the oven and cook the sculpey, and then I've got a nice, solid base to sculpt over. I do a little bit of carving, then start adding the green stuff.

Thanks a lot!

I was going to do some more sculpting today at lunch, and realized I took my sculpting stuff home for the weekend. :(

Imperial (not from the empire, naturally) Taun Taun (Umm... I mean Rough) riders!

We need more of this!

P.S. Are you sculpting any imperial storm troopers? We NEED a star wars themed army on Dakka.
