First off: holy crud, that's a lot of sharp looking conversion work. Would like to know how you did those rough riders.

Secondly: When the new IG codex comes out, you may need to be dropping those small based mortars onto the large base. I've already begun preparing my Valhallans for the change over.

For the rough riders I just mixed cold ones with cadians. The arms with the hunting lances were a bit of a bitch, had to cut off the cadian arm at the shoulder pad then add half of the dark elf arm. I also used a lot of ammo pouches to hide the weird waistlines.

If it's officially states I may do that, but in all honesty I think it's pretty stupid. I hate the big bases for most of the heavy weapons, I want to actually be able to utilise terrain.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Agreed. Per the leaked IG stats, it's looking like heavy weapons are going to be a two wound model, which would necessitate the big base.

I love those Terminator and Captain conversions, they're simple, but most epic.

Orks are like those neighbor children who aren't invited to your parties and they come right in anyway.

Painted the pig iron dudes, I may change the eye color on the gas masks.

Different pig iron heads on these dudes. I hope the new codex will let me use them. Probably gonna paint the eagle on the chest gold and do some highlighting to the bolters.

i like the two color armor on the grunts and i think you should add more of it to the vehicles. some of the latter vehicles are 80% drybrushing and 20% painting. personally, i'd reverse those ratios. nice conversions!

Thanks for the input. I didn't want to over do the tanks with too much green, the main reason is I wanted a more urban look, the second reason is I'm lazy. I'm not very good at detailing, as you can see with the really inconsistent highlighting, I just wanted a look that was easy to do over and over again.

Any thoughts on the gas masks? I'm still not sure about the red eyes.

Tied and gagged in the back of your car

Your painting and conversion work is excellent. My only complaint is that, compared to the rest of your army, your Eversor is severly lacking in quality. It's a shame when you look at all these beautiful models, and then move your eye over to the eversor. It really ends up hurting the overall image of your army, and he sticks out like a sore thumb.

Otherwise, your army looks simply beautiful.
