Meh, considering the way he rolled last night I would have gone with the phone.
I agree, this certainly isn't going to replace standard dice because frankly it's just fun to roll dice!
Also, the randomization of this iphone app is definitely in question. I've rolled several hundred times with 5D6 and have yet to get a 'yahtzee'. I've gotten some 'four of a kinds' but I can't get all five dice to ever roll the same which should eventually happen.
Of course, if it is truly random then there is always the chance that I've just been 'unlucky' and the 'yahtzee' is just around the corner. . .
The only way I'd ever use this app in a gaming situation is if both/all players had equal access to using it.
