Pi$$ poor planing IMHO.
Well......Nevada doesn't actually have that many people....

The problem with not haveing more semi final locations (at least one per state) is that a lot of people will have to use up their vacation time and budget to ga and then will not be able to attend the finals if they make it. If they had more people playing in the finals then GW could sell that many more tickets to the Baltimor GT from people who can make the trip.
From Vegas I can go to AZ or Cali but with the price of gas and acomidations I don't know if I will be able to go.

Did they give you your voucher-ticket-thingie yet?
I'd imagine that, if you don't go, they'll just pass your spot on down the line. I'm certain SOMEONE will be able to go.

My home store The Game Castle is also hosting the 2nd round.
We have plenty of room. the last time I checked we had 14 signed-up out or the 72 we can hold.
We have 10 down with 7 more we can put down. Plus I run Tournaments a OGC and TotalCon and can roll out 19 more.
I'd love to see the store that full of 40K tables and players.

Any possibility of getting Pandemonium in Garden City, MI to host again? The Midwest then would be completely covered.

Any chance on adding another semi in NY area? One Semi location in northern NJ to accommodate all of NJ, eastern PA, Eastern NY including Long Island, and western CT may be a bit extreme. I talked to the store owner, and he said they will probably have to move the Semi off site to hold all the attendees so far.
To my knowledge there was a semi location on Long Island last year, that seems like a good compromise for Metro NY and western Ct cause there is a ferry across the sound as well as road routes. NYC can be difficult to get around sometimes....

As I was informed, there is a set limit on the number of semi-finals locations and it appears no more can be added at this point.

Chris, I play in Houston, TX, and information has been spotty at best in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. Our local store, Predator Games, had mentioned that they would be hosting the 2nd round, but are not listed on the Games Workshop website.
Is the any chance you could confirm/deny this information?

Anyone hear anything about when or if they'll be releasing the Round 2 Scenarios?

Well, I know how to check these forums and I know how to check the GW website. So I'm not really concerned about finding the scenarios if and when they post.
What I was asking, was if anyone has heard any rumors about whether/when the scenarios would be released. For instance if a store owner has heard from Trade Sales, or if Dave or Chris are reading this and know anything.

I'm a bit worried about this too. I played at the NJ location in the first round and they have a lot of space, but I doubt they will have enough tables to accommodate what will likely be an enormous number of players. From the looks of it, they can fit about 10 tables fairly comfortably and maybe squeeze in 2-3 more in the back room(s).

I figure they'll post the missions a week in advance of the tournament, like they did with the first round.
As for being worried about there being space at where you play. Stores are supposed to have designated how many they can accommodate, and then take a list of people who will be there. If you're expecting to show up at any store the day of and find a room, you're going to be unpleasantly surprised. The store I signed up at only has room for 24 people, and that was all accounted for with-in 3 days after sign-ups started.
