Well. Forever and a Day since the last time I updated. Such is the way of christmas and all the other holiday action. So in the meantime, I thought I'd post some of the painting I've been working on since not much has been done with the board recently.

It's decent for tabletop quality. I wouldn't call it award winning. It's not really highlighted, more I just took a lighter blue and did outlines of all the surfaces around the separation of the armor plates.

So in my infinite boredom I decided to consolidate this WIP terrain board post to my own little workbench blog instead. I'm currently working on 3 armies. Tau which is mine. Marines which belongs to my roomate Chance, and a small Ork force which will eventually belong to my girlfriend, who for interests sake we'll call Unpredictable.

Pics forthcoming.

Thought I'd throw up a couple pics of what I'm working on at the moment. Nothing terribly exciting, but hey, a blog isn't always the most exciting thing in the world either.

Clean and nice paint jobs. They are definitely good tabletop quality.

What kind of basing were you planning on doing?

Simple green flock for the rank and file troops. Maybe a rock or two in there. I'll do something a little more elaborate for the dread.

Yeah so. I've bored you all to death with my lackluster painting, and spent far too long away from actually working on my terrain. Well I'm putting some effort back into that these days, so I thought I'd show the one thing I have managed to finish completely. I give you a ruin.

So I decided to try my hand with a few scratch build templates I've found online. Stuff to be made from card stock. I'm not entirely displeased with the results. I just used what I had on hand (A Frosted Flakes Box in this particular case) and normal white glue. I'd suggest having some superglue on hand as well as a glue stick. Otherwise I suggest everyone give something like this a try.

By the way it's a turbo laser turret.

Nice was the card already like that or did you paint it on?

Nah, just printed the template (it came with that pattern) and cut and glued it.

So my workbench has been a vewwy quiet thread here recently and I thought I'd toss up some stuff to share with all my friends and fiends here at Dakka.

First I thought I'd share the most full Workbench it's self, along with all the backlogged work.

Secondly is some of the terrain I've got a very rough beginning on. Honestly my focus has been more on the painting side of things.

Finally is some of my most recently finished mini's, a Chaplain and a Dreadnaught for the SM Chapter I'm painting for Chance. Hope you all enjoy!

I see some real genius in your terrain-making here, but I was afraid that if I said that back there everyone would see right through me.
