I opted to go for something nastier than some sort of stun mace as you can see on the picture above. I also started working on the upper legs.

Hot damn! You are really making an art of this scratch building stuff! Looks really cool so far!

I have the results of the last chamber: You are a horrible person. That's what it says: A horrible person... We weren't even testing for that. |

I shortened the neck of this one, now the head looks a bit better. Still need to make the feet and improve some tiny bits and then this one is finished.
I will stop this blog in a bit and open a new one. The machine I made here will no longer be a Mezzan but another concept I've been working on. Looking at the whole =I=munda craze I also started looking into GorkaMorka/Digganob for some inspiration, I realised that I kind of like the Diggas and well...crazy post apocalyptic technology is just too cool! I'm pondering about how to justify this all fluff wise for my own little madness, but I like the idea that there are these humans left on some world with no real high technological development, everything is kind of scrapped together and such. Somehow (need to figure this out) they manage to harness energy (ala C'tan) or souls (kind of like the Eldar) into their machines, the figure I'm almost finished with would be an example of that. Perhaps some shamanistic rituals which summon a soul and then trap it in a metallic shell.
But yeah, these "Scrapyard humans" have more technology and all that, more fluff and stuff will be coming soon but for now let me show you what I started working on...
I started working on the bike, it's going to be a little bit bigger than 5 cm long, probably around 7-8cm long. So far I've used parts of the first Mezzan (that big one), namely the arms and legs and some dented wheels I took from one of the broken cd players.
This is all veeeeeeeeeeery WIP, the two pictures I've got so far are of bad quality but the idea is that this will be a "heavy warbike", so imagine a chunky armoured motorcycle with big guns on it and you're not far from what I'm planning to do here.

As you can see this is going to be a chunky beast (8.5cm long) and is thus not a "cavalry like" biker but more along the lines of a "heavy", as in that this vehicle would count under the vehicle rules and not bike rules were it to be in 40k. I still need to figure out how I'm going to put the engines, armour, weapons and all those other goodies on there but expect updates in the coming days!

Oooh, cool concept, I loved GorkaMorka when it got support from GW. The digganob supplement sadly came just before GW stopped giving it any support and as such didn't really take off where I stayed at the time.
Still got a few diggas kicking about somewhere though I think.
Cheers,
Dante

More updates on the bike:
Don't worry, the big guns will be removed and reworked a bit. I'm going to put the engine on the back of the bull, I still need to figure out what to do for the exhausts, not sure if those should be separate parts of fully attached to the hull. I've also been thinking about putting another weapon on the front part of the hull, some sort of cannon or something (not too big of course).

Slowly getting there:
I still need to finish some of the metal plating covering of the vehicle, I also need to do something about the insides of the bike. The driver is riding this bike in a very similar fashion as those racing cars from the 1950s. So I need to make something which kind of looks like a chair (eventhough you would only be able to put the driver's torso in the vehicle).
Another problem are the exhausts, I don't really know where and how to do them, any suggestions would be more than welcome.
Any other ideas, comments and suggestions for this model are more than welcome!

I personally liked the first head. While it might be good to give some 40k models Gothic flavoring I think these guys could be an exception because they represent the last remnants of a destroyed world that predates the 40k time line!
I liked the almost cartoonish, face it would make the hunt for him feel even more tragic because he looks so innocent compared to the characters we are used to in 40k (even if he does pack a punch!).
