Unfortunately the scout bike bases, which are what I want, were never available at the cheaper rate. :(

Well, they are a bit on the high side, so, if no one (or not too many people) buy them, the price will come down.

Maybe.

Luckily I just bought a pack of 30 small flying bases for $5.00 before they went up to 5 for $6.00.

30 for $5 makes them $0.16 ech, and 5 for $6 makes them $1.2 each, I make that a 650% price increase.

This is daft, bases cost f-all to make, obvious because you could have so many for a much smaller amount before and because of the way they frequently packed more bases than necessary with figures. Hell, if I want the equivalent of a few old bags of the large bases you're talking a considerable amount of money.

It's just GW taking advantage of the monopoly a section of their fanbase perceive them to have, anyone with any sense will buy bases elsewhere. Surely the only people who would continue buying the bases at these prices are the same ones who buy all their glue and stuff from them too. Either too lazy or uninformed enough to know to go elsewhere and get better for less.

Well that's just great. Online store ordering, and humongously expensive. I'll pass.

EDIT: on an afterthought, why not make them yourself? We know the dimensions...

The way I see it, is that it's only a 20% increase, and it wastes less plastic. I still have like a million extra bases lying around because I only wanted to buy a couple. It's like I bought the bases, and they used more bases as packing material.

And yes, I know this is a stupid thing to say. Don't get excited.
