I'm glad I stumbled upon this tonight. Had no real reason to look as I had bought what I wanted, but strangely I did. And lo and behold, another ripper.

A bit too strange to be selling same 5 items (Oblits) to at least 5 different people by my count.

i just got response from the number that I have the wrong number so this does seem to be a case of intentional and repeated fraud.

It's getting a bit frustrating dealing with scammers and people who just don't know WTF they are doing.

I'm almost to point of just being done trading on Dakka. Every transaction is second guessed. Sad!

I almost bought some things from this guy so I hope you get some kind of satisfaction from paypal. I think if he was legit he wouldve posted something on here by now or pm'd with confirmation #'s.

I'm not sure I'd throw $175 at someone I've never dealt with before, but when you get a few good trades and start trusting people it always seems like the donkey-caves take advantage.

Been 4 hours and no response by PM here, through Paypal, or by email.

After noticing several double ups and recieving a few PM's from people who had been promised the same things I filed a report right away.

I am still hoping they will come, but I think its a fools hope.

The seller has since asked me to drop the paypal dispute which I will not do as this tale only thickens.

I hope I get to eat my words.

This thread is now under the watch of the modquisition. Unfortunately, looking at the evidence thus far, this does not appear to be a genuine seller. I would suggest contacting paypal immediately and attempting to reclaim your monies. Paypal should be able to prevent him from transferring the money out to his bank account if you're quick.

I think the moral of the story here is not to send large sums of cash to people with no posts or trade feedback over the internet, without taking some kind of precautions.

DO NOT DROP THE DISPUTE!

It's the ony way to receive your money back. Wait your 3-7 days and make it a full claim. It's safe to say that each of us are on our own to retrieve payments made to this guy.

Are you going to ban him from Dakka for a couple of days? I suggest you give him some time to produce an explanation. Boasting of a MOD battlestation that only fires beanbags isn't proper form here.

I like to believe when someone posts a list of models for sale it's legit. Paypal is about as safe as it gets. I will be refunded. Hopefully this isn't some kid that ran a scam, spent the money, and is going to put all this on his parents dime.

To be fair, you should always gets pictures of what is being sent to you also. It just adds a degree of authenticity and there's obviously some reason they aren't willing to if they refuse.

I received no response from him when I asked him to ship first because he had no references and his Paypal acct. was two days old.

Hey i purchased the Vindicator and 3 bikes, and just a few bits, I just sent theunsane a PM requesting pictures of postage, or the items. If I do not receive the pictures or the items in the next week I am cancelling my payment. If there is anybody else that purchased any of the items that I listed as purchased please PM me so I can cancel payment sooner.

I escalated my dispute to a claim. He has 10 days.

I was attempting to purchase the old pred, dread, and some zerkers. money was sent on the 17th. I never checked this thread between the time i made a deal and the time i paid.

The user in question has now been IP banned. If you made a deal with him, I suggest launching a paypal claim to retrieve your money.

He just responded to my dispute saying the items were shipped. I'm not closing anything till I have a package in my hands.

I have to wait til April 15th to get refund.

however if he decides to transfer the money he got from you to his bank account you are, for want of a better word, f**ked, also paypal operates on a first claim fist pay basis which means that if there is not enough money to go around you will be left sitting emptyhanded...

well I just got a response from paypal saying they sided on his side and no money will be returned, now what?
