I wonder if they have filmed the pirate sequence and it appears on the DVD?

It has been stated by the filmmakers that the Tales of the Black Freighter will be on the DVD and they are animated, not live action. Hopefully it isn't really cheap animation.

Given the cost of the movie overall, it's unlikely to be cheap animation.

I remember loving the crap outta the graphic novel when it was new.. nowadays I can barely remember what it was about. But, the movie looks good. Can't wait to see it
