OT but anyone see Rock n Rolla? How does it compare to Snatch/Lock Stock?
Do yourself a favour and search for Mark Kermode's review of this (he's a BBC film reviewer - his stuff is available from the BBC radio 5 website (latest episode only) and on youtube).
Its not as funny as his 10 minute rant on how bad Pirates of the Carribean 3 was, but its still funny!
I was a Star Trek fan (until Nemesis). I've never been a fan of JJ Abrams, though. Nothing he's done on the telly has impressed me, and this looks like something SF that looks like Star Trek, but isn't. In the same way all of the Star Trek movies were (after ST2).
Although after the nadir that was Nemesis, the franchise has nowhere to go but UP (ie the "things can only get better" principle). Not sold on the cast, though - except maybe Simon Pegg (who would've signed on purely as an SF nut).
I'll wait until it's on cable. As an unlimited view movie.
I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

Why don't you wait until it is out and hear what others have to say before you make that decision. If your friends are telling you they were surprised by how much they liked it or wife/gf/bf/lp wants to drag you along, you could end up going.
