Speaking of D&D, I'd say there are much better rule systems than d20 as well.

Same sort of effect, I wager.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

WM/H isn't some game no one ever plays. 40k players and die-hard GW fans want you to believe that they're the only game on the market. While it's true that they're the biggest, that doesn't make them the best. PP has more then earned it's place in wargaming with their (comparatively) low prices and durability. When the cost of metal started rising, GW turned to all plastic in an effort to 'reduce the cost to the consumer'. However, their prices remain unchanged. Fact: Plastic molds last longer and are easier to clean/maintain than metal. Fact: Plastic materials are cheaper than metal. Why then, are 40k units still so damn expensive? Because they feel they can get away with it.

As for the base argument, yes, you'll find a 40k game just about everywhere... But if you can't find a WM/H game in your area, don't worry... It's a relatively new game... And it's growing. Fast.
