Before I even get started...

@Railguns - Have you ever actually gone back and watched an old Bruce Lee Movie recently? It has the most gratuitous "sound enhancement" you'll ever hear. Not nearly as bad as "these days". Try watching a martial arts movie on mute (which is basically what a real fight would sound like, sans all the grunts). It's very boring. Adding sound effects keeps you enthralled.

Anyway...

This is a new low for Hollywood. Seriously, I don't remember the last movie that looked this bad. Like, wow.

Just wow.

The anime was bad enough. Couldn't you just stop there?

If you actually have hope for this movie, then I feel sorry for you.

I will say that I find most anime and manga(and by extension, the neckbeards that love it so-not sure about present company ) terrible. Jin-roh was interesting, especially for the "cut a man in half with a machine gun" scene, and akira was interesting technically because it was 100% hand animated. Go watch that movie knowing that everything you see was drawn by hand and it gets more interesting. My God, the shattering glass.

90% of everything is crap, and there's no reason anime or mange should be any different. Akira and Ghost in the Shell and a handful of others stand out at terrific, but most of the rest is derivative rubbish. It's the same for any medium, really.

Maybe I'm unique in this, but I like fight scenes where things aren't exaggerated for cinematic quality. I used to be in Tae Kwon DO and all that silliness and enjoyed watching fights for what they were. Yeah I have seen Bruce Lee movies. Yes, I like them. No, I don't really like the sound enhancement. But then again, the Bruce Lee movies were made way back when such things were actually stylish, and its kinda funny to watch.

The Dragonball Movie will be to the Dungeons and Dragons movie as the Dungeons and Dragons movie was to the Godfather.
