Ok, quite a few things wrong with this. Firstly, blaming Britain for IRA bombs is like blaming America for 9/11. Secondly, Ireland, where the troubles were is not part of Great Britain. Great Britain is the name of the island that constitutes most of England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, the Republic of Ireland is a seperate country. Neither are part of Great Britain.

Agreed. The mindset in the UK is totally different to the US, so comparisons don't apply. Add to this the different state laws and you have a situation far removed. Our gun control situation is rigorous enough for specialist teams to be an ample response in most firearm situations.

Nothing wrong with a good old riot every now and again, and espically after a "FOOTBALL" game.

This is certainly heresy, but I'm finding soccer more and more interesting now that the NFL is so godawful boring. If only we had pro Rugby in the states...

...Ahem. Ok, I'm (mostly) joking, but its hard to take this seriously. Tasers are dangerous, but then they shouldn't be used on people because they are not responding. Knives being pulled, fine. Someone with an Ipod on probably should just be clipped across the back of the head.
