For somebody so new to the hobby, I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with what I see. Though there's definitely much room to improve technically, you quite obviously have the imagination and foresight to do some very spectacular models. For instance, those lighting effects are something that one almost NEVER finds on new painters' models, same with the highlights.
One thing I will mention is that one of the hardest things to do when modelling is curbing your enthusiasm to just go-go-go to a level where you are able to take the time to do each step properly. It takes a lot of effort to slow down and check over each model to make sure that you cleaned up all the little imperfections from the casting process. Even as an experienced modeller, I know how frusterating it can be having to spend so much time checking each model over for flash and mold lines, but in the end it pays off. For instance, a file could have been taken to Shrikes lightning claws to even up those tips a little bit. There was also a model on the last page who had a large mold line on his shoulder pad, which really diminishes the finished quality of a model (especially in so obvious a spot). It takes quite a bit more time making sure that you've cleaned up all those imperfections, but once the model is finished you will notice all the difference.
Your paints could also do with being watered down some more, which gives much smoother coats. If you're not using a palette, that's a really good place to start. I found that my painting improved quite dramatically when I switched to palette from painting straight out of the pot. Thinned paints do take more coats, which takes a lot more time, but again it's really worth it in the end.
Beyond that, I reiterate, your work is absolutely stunning for somebody so new to the hobby. Once you've gotten all those techniques down, you certainly have it in you to be an amazing painter. Keep it up, I look forward to seeing more of your work! Your scenery is also excellent.
edit: editted out some comments that made me look like a total prick. Just trying to help a brutha out

, I know how daunting a task it is starting out in this hobby, and how much the constructive criticism I got in the beginning helped me. I apologize if anything came out overly critical, just trying to give some helpful pointers. Great work! keep it up!
