Thanks, but I already knew this. Was stating that I'd rather keep them back out of CC. On Farsight bodyguard, they're going to get a single round before it becomes a wound. Rather put them with Broadsides or use the points towards something else.


@Shep, with the Farsight build you don't really need the 6 broadsides for the SMs. I usually run a single squad of braodsides and 2 Hammerheads in other armies. Don't know what I'd run in this Farsight build. May be a single squad of Broadsides castled in the corner or 2 hammerheads. I'll have to think on it. I'd like to hear what your ideas would be.

I say one skyray is useful if you want to field missiles. Sometimes a 6 missile volley is very useful.

I don't think you can run 2x hammerheads if farsight is present.

There was a thread in the army lists section that had a great farsight list....

later down the thread he tries a 1750 list which is think hits pretty close to a homerun. It used 1 hammerhead and 1 broadside unit. Farsight lists don't even tend to fill up heavies because they spend so many points on the 'big unit'.

I would change some of his upgrades, but the concept is nice.

As far as the skyray in that list. With so many crisis suits, you have so many spots for networked MLs, and you need so many points to make that big retinue 'wound friendly' that it just doesn't fit. And the hammerhead has to go in there because the list is railgun light.

@ Shep, Thanks, don't see how I forgot that. Guess I was too absorbed in the crisis build or misspoke and said 2 hammerheads instead of hammerhead and skyray. Anyway thanks, I'm gonna go take my ginko now.

@jamuninition, same retriction applies to skyrays.
