Well, the comma is supposed to precede a space - rather than replace it - but otherwise it looks good. I'm afraid to report, however, that you've used up your post quota and will have to wait three days before posting again.

Flash! It looks good, although it's hard to make out much detail from so far away. Congrats on getting so much done though!

Progress on the Stompa

Beginnings of feet, a dental floss container glued to a disposable foam shoe sponge. The piston is simple styrene tube cut at a 45 degree angle. The posts are made from medicine bottles (told you I had a lot of these lying around)

Orkified with some plasticard dags and lots of rivets.

Detail of the arm post. I found that the inner diameter inside the cap of a spray paint can is an exact fit to the outer diameter of the medicine bottles I'm using for the arms. I cut one in half to make the shoulder pads. I'm experimenting with adding an outer ring to the arm post to support a close combat weapon/claw/lifta-droppa.

The component pieces almost ready for final assembly and then some painting.

I am sure that the stompa will look fantastic when it's done, but I just can't 'see' it at the moment....

Sprayed black and then with a camo dark green. Currently has 4 magnetized hardpoints. One at the end of each arm post and one on top of each shoulder guard.

I need to get better lighting than the kitchen. The base color is more green and I just started dabbling with a little bit of paint on the edges of the plates. Nowhere near done.

Making progress on the painting. Placed some Boyz for scale. You can see the magnets on the top of the shoulder guards and on the bottoms of the end caps. I'll probably hit the rust spots with some Devlan Mud and then run some bestial brown/orange wash along the sides of various plates.

Yes, I do have a job . To be honest, the hardest thing about this model was drinking enough wine to get the foil I needed. Sigh, the sacrifices I make.

How many hours from start to finish would you estimate the boyz took you (from sprue to table?) Your painting speed is always inspiring and you have truly surpassed yourself here!

Not really sure. The family took a trip on 11/9 and I was able to trim and assemble a bunch of Boyz (77 of them, 22 of them had already been basecoated and washed) while she drove. I finished the 9 deffkoptas around 12/16 and probably started on the Boyz around then. By 1/16, I was done with all of them. Not sure how many hours went into that 30 day period though. I logged my time for the Deffkoptas and it came out to be just a hair over an hour per model (after priming)

That is some really great painting for such a short amount of time, and damned fine even if you had twice the time!
That Payne's Grey really seems to work. I just picked up a bottle the other day, and am excited to try it out. Because, in case that last sentance didn't nail it for you like it did for me, I am a giant geek

All I can think now for the Stompa is "I has a bucket!" (and a shovel). I think maybe it needs a more pronounced and aggressive jaw, but it is looking good!
