YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Ah, MacWorld propoganda, is it?

Obviously iTunes on OSX is a different biscuit. I like to bash, but only because a lot of my audio engineering friends are computer illiterate Mac-fanboys.

I might actually buy one if I ever set up a home studio, but it's still pretty iffy. If I had the money to chuck around for a system I won't use for anything else, sure... but not likely. It would be prefereable in that case only.

Also, I drive an auto, and prefer it.

I firmly believe that macs will become more widespread in their use in the upcoming years.

You won't find a MAC at all in the business world. The only time I've ever seen them in an organized setting is my kids school, and even there they had PCs for the office staff.

(THIS SPACE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK)

Universal compatibility and cost give the business market to PCs. Businesses all use PCs so a business investing in macs is going to have a more significant cost of investment, training, and will have difficulty with cross platform compatibility.

As to the computers, Shuma I bow to your superior knowledge of the Mac systems. But I hope you'll understand why I'll still use the pc.

It's cool. I use both and I'm really looking foreword to the release of windows 7 which looks to be a huge step foreword in windows operating systems. They both have their benefits and the vastly more open windows platform has plenty of advantages when it comes to third party development. I just prefer that people look at both systems for what they are, and not through the bias either company or the community at large tries to give.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?

I used a Mac at my previous job. I am in software sales, not graphic design or art or anything.

Of course, before my company got me a mac, I was using Linux...

I use a PC, I'm not a fan of Mac but they do have some nice functionality. I'll probably never purchase a mac but I understand the attraction and respect the company. That said, I also like Ipods but despise the proprietary software that unnecessarily gets installed with it.

I think the whole Mac vs PC thread is best summed up by this cartoon.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
