Hey guys got some good news ive managed to source a metal command sqaud on the cheap,and will hopefully convert them to fit with the army.

I was wondering on anyadvice on where to go next

Hey eveyone im wondering if anyone has any ideas about what horses i shud use for my roughriders

I'd recommend the Empire Pistoliers/Outriders, five in a box for $22 and they're sturdy steeds. You'd need to create the lances from something else, but I think you could do it well.

Damn, you beat me to it. Just watch out for the legs as they have plate armour already sculpted on them.

But im sure with a bit of sculpting either the cadian torsos or fileing the legs they should come up nicely.

Theres no need to use their legs just get the standing legs from the tank sprue (wich im on the lookout for) cut them in half and then fill the gap and hey presto cadian mounted legs! yesi am a genius naa im kiddin but im relativly smart lol


Oh and thinking about it i may use the bratonian horses with the tabard things like a thermo layer fabric to keep em warm in the cold enviroment

One valhallan officer with powersword dont know what role he wil take but he looks nice and fits the theme

Commisar yarick again probs add him to the command sqaud as an officer with power fist

The safecracker from the last chancers looks awsome and fits the theme

And a OOp commisar witch will need new legs cos there realy short and stumpy but his upper body is awsome

Well im not getting the last chancers fig or yarrick or the commisar but what i am getting is a metal command squad a karskin squad a load of catchans and catchan heavy wepons

Yes i know winter guard with catchans but fits with the fluff their the survivours from the invasion of sovian III but the iron legion cant afford to hand out equipment but the men are very adept to winter climate but they are given the same rebreathers and hats to help the real squads pick them out.

Maybe you could work them in as Conscripts? Like in the Red Arm 41-45, half the troops were never issued winter gear ...

Maybe that would work?

Hey guys heres an update for you my Command squad it took some time and effort to convert these.


The banner is like that due to the fact it is a long serving banner since the fall of sovian III also the ork skull is that of Galkam Gobag warboss of the Broken teef clan he was killed by the high commander of the iron legion years ago.The tyranid head is that of the gaunt that slew the high cammanders dog he was like a mascot!.

Very nice. I like the WW1 look you've got as Most soldiers used entrenching tools rather than knives when fighting in the trenches. The Gas Masks also make me go WW1.

The whole army looks fantastic so far!

the conversions are ace.

the heads hold up real well on the cadians.

also, the bases are rock on.

Hey thanks for the kind words theres lots left to do and the command squad still needs its valhallen leader thats sat staring at me.Ill be using some valhallen models to represent hardend veterans as well to show a more rugged look.

You may certinly ask panzersmurth(the leman russ is now named after you btw)the banner is from the Orc warboss box set from the fantasy range there loads a great bits in there if you do orks!

HaHA well guys got some bad news and some good news...good first after a long struggle lol and heartache i have the girl of my dreams..the bad news is she takes up rather alot of time haha well....i do hope to have an update within the week...sentinels are nearly painted and so is my valhallen officer wich i went over the top on with blood :( but they dont call him Stalin the butcher for nowt

also im looking for any imperial guard on the cheap lol cadians preferibley then we can get some real update madness


P.S Games workshop have made me really ANGRY!!!!!...why the hell would they sell cadians in sets of ten!...games workshop staff are gonna get some hell from me i can tell you
