I was under the impression that most people had to keep loads of receipts, records etc etc and then pay a sum at a later date.

We pay per check, and then we account for any over or underpay once a year.

But usually if you do anything more profitable than being a student its a case of underpay. I made $3200 one summer that constituted my yearly income and I got about $300 back. If I actually used that job for living income and worked all year long I probably wouldn't get anything back in April.

Daschle just withdrew his nomination.

I'm pretty sure you paraphrased that pretty inaccurately. I haven't seen the initial statement, but it seems like something you'd do.

That's true, but you also have to remember one of the big internet rules: "On the intenet, nobody can tell you're joking." It's an easy thing to forget.
