I know a large portion of the bill is tax cuts, something like $120-200 billion. That still leaves $500-600 billion being spent on a lot of things that most people don't understand or can't predict will help. My mind set is that the government is necessary to help guide things on tract, but it should stay way the hell out of anything that involves personal responsibility and/or freedom. There are way too many quotes by the framers of the US constitution that easily establish the RAI for our government and the constitution itself does a bang up job on establishing the RAW.
Then why is it far right wing nut jobs want to ignore the portions about "separation of church and state" and the far left want to ignore the portions about "the right to have and bear arms"? Both sides are clearly in the wrong. Separation of church and state means there should be no mention of God, commandments, and/or prayer with anything dealing with or run by the government on any level. PERIOD! Take "in god we trust" off the money, don't put up 10 commandments in courtrooms and for the love of whatever your chosen faith stop trying to introduce prayer into school! If you want to prayer, do it when you get up in the morning!!
The second amendment means the people should have the right to arm themselves to the point to be capable to overthrow their government should it go out of control. And yes, we have more gun rights than places like Japan or the UK, but do we really have the rights to weapons that can effectively engage or US military? No.. Hell, just for laughs call the Pentagon and see if they'll sell you an old M-4 Sherman or an F-14 Tomcat. Even if you had the money it would be a resounding no. And that's equipment that can be readily defeated by our military's current arsenal.
The point is, neither end of the spectrum know their asses from a hole in the ground and both think the answer to fix a problem is to write a check and the bigger your check the more you're supposed to be helping..
