a while ago some guy used to sell banner models, all armies, usually heavily converted and painted to an amazing standard, banners were allways freehand, last one i saw was a month or 2 ago, and a high elf battle standard went for £85.

Once upon a time, I sold painted models on ebay... I dont think I ever claimed they were "pro" painted, but lets just say they didnt look like THAT... I remember selling a Chaos Vindicator for 120$, a SM captain for 100$, and other assorted crap.

I should really start doing that again... I need monies

lol, i just sold mine as tabletop standard.

i would love to paint simply for selling, but then it would put me off alot.

painting would become very boring if your forever painting up things simply to sell.

(never mix work and hobbies)

Yeah it does get boring. Back when I was going to school I painted all sorts of stuff for money. It got to the point that I hated painting and gave up on it for almost 4 years.

The reason I liked it so much is because I could vary what I painted. Meaning if I wanted to paint something I would buy it, paint it and sell it. That way it never got old. Now this of course means I was only painting single models as opposed to units/armies... which in turn perhaps led to my inability to paint armies for myself (yay for painting ADD :( ). Thankfully I broke that habit not too long ago!

But I feel I must stress what JD said... "Never mix work and hobbies". It doesn't usually turn out in your favour and then your hobby becomes a tedious job.

Those models are attrocious! Really, why would anyone bother to pay money for these when you could quite easily do it yourself with your eyes closed.

This kind of thing really annoys me, and I have a hard time taking these guys seriously.

Man down, Man down....
