just a quick update...
had some time before leaving town for a concert with some friends...
so i busted out some zombies for the tournament i mentioned, to add more for those that might be summoned during the game...

these only took me about an hour and 20 minutes total, so they are definitely not GD winners, but it gets the job done

turns out that stretching the model bits out that come in a box of zombies can actually prove to make some interesting models, not just financially effiecient lol

do it the right way and you can get 30-35 zombies out of a box of 20

well, i fixed those officers i had done and gave them white fatigues, darkened up the boots, and added the blue trim, and i have to say i am happy with how they look now...
this will def be the color scheme i go with for this army

in addition to those 2 guys, i started a standard bearer for my HQ squad...
this guy was made from regular cadian parts, the standard being actually a chopped up WHFB goblin standard with drop pod logos on top, with normal thin modeling rod stuck into the hand that usually holds a chainsword...
the banner is only basecoated, no insignia or chapter markings or anything like that yet, im still figuring out what im doing for that...

youll notice that these guys are now base-less...
im awating an order of bases i made from back to base ix, so i will finally have an army with decent looking bases

right now im workin on a mastervoxer and the rest of my command squad, pics will be up later!

Mmm that's better, the contrast between the blue and the white is quite effective and looks really well done . Which whites did you use?
The only further suggestion i would have is, for future models start with a darker white and work up, or something that you can try on one of these, is a light wash , Grey/Black wash, just something to pick out the details of the rolls and creases in the fabric. Otherwise keep up the great work

You tanks look awesome especially the flames on the vindicator.

right now its pretty much just straight white, except on the bottom of the 'skirt' in the power weapon guy, where i used astronomicon grey and a black wash on the very inside edges...
for my more important guys (like the powerweapon officer), later i will go back and put down a astronomicon basecoat and put white over that, leaving the creases darker

Well, well, "krusty" that's some nice lookin' guard you got. If you come in Saturday I can show you the platoon I got painted so far. And don't forget to pick up your flash drive you lent me. I put the Necromunda stuff on my PC. Check out Ebay for some battleforces, I just picked one up for less than 80.

looks like im not gunna be able to do a big store unveiling of this army since you and mike are seeing it as it comes along haha

i got all the infantry i need save a box of catachans, so the only thing ill be ebaying is tanks if anything...

anyway, check out necro and when i stop in on saturday ill try and get a solid decision if were gunna play or not

finished a flamer guy and vox guy

also, conceptual picture of my gang leader for a necromunda gang i may be starting if other people at my FLGS decide to play too
he is also going to have a chopped up vox caster on his back with some wires connecting to his head and arms...

well, finished a few models, a melta and plasma guy
the melta happened to finish my HQ squad, giving me my first finished unit
this week i will be finishing one of the infantry command squads as well as moving on to the infantry units themselves...
also i got my back to base ix bases in the mail, so you can finally see these guys standing on nice(ish) bases

also, started working on my possible necro gang...
i decided to do something a little more extravagant for my leader, and used my original idea for a heavy ganger, the leaders right hand man, who will eventually be holding a flamer in that buff little arm of his
as a little background, the idea behind this gang is that the leader and heavies, his long trusted friends and 'work' partners, are recruiting a new batch of up and coming gangers after the unfortunate yet comic demise of the last batch...
i still have lots of work to do, on the leader especially, including taking off more of the =][='s, putting the wires running through his arms and such, and possibly a head swap...
but anyway, theres a wip pic of them down there as well

finally finished another command squad...
tomorrow starts an autocannon team and the rest of an infantry squad
hope to have that squad done sometime this weekend

Maybe drybrush some brown on their legs for a dirt/mud effect, I mean its white so they are going to spill something on them
Anyway they look great, nice clean work.

I'm really liking this color scheme. Not effective camo, but then again, there's really no rules for plain ordinary camo having an effect.

been busy with school, half finishing models, assembling stuff so its playable, and not to mention this unit took FOREVER to paint...
anyway, heres my first infantry platoon...
and at the end, the start of my veteran squad...
saturday marks the release of the new book, so ill be getting that, and possibly a valkyrie, so there might be pics of that up in a few weeks,
and at the very least ill be finishing the veterans soon and a leman russ im getting in the mail
