Why isn't there more sex in 40k? Why do sm even have c**ks? They can't reproduce, and they're too busy praying in their free time to do a solo "excersize", so really what's the point of a dangler? Actually, in that case what's the point of life?

The point of life in 40k is to amuse the emperor and gods of chaos who liked playing warhammer fantasy as children.
There is more sex in 40k, I believe some sob orders are ordered to have children to supply the IG. Who says that the morning "drills" aren't what they allude to be.

The titans would at least make sense if the bipedal stance meant they were more agile than a tank, but they aren't.

If gellar fields keep you safe when travelling through the warp, why don't hives etc have them to reduce the chance of chaos manifesting on an imperial world?
Why can't the life eater virus or similar be used against tyranid ships in space instead of using lasers and ordinance weapons?
How is it that city sized space ships can be built with ease but making a puny titan or baneblade is considered difficult?
Why aren't teleporters used more in battle?
When does a human become an ogryn? Do ogryns have a minimum average size because surely there must be planets with populations of every size between a "normal" human and an ogryn?
How is it that between the mechanicum and the techpriests they can keep the marines in power armour despite the (supposedly) increasing losses in battle and those becoming renegade, yet can't provide power armour for the imperial guard?
If the ability to make and service technology like plasma weapons and anti-grav vehicles is being lost, does that mean that the marines of the future will not have landspeeders and plasma canons?
How is this technology being lost when at the same time new technology is being found?

Here's what I don't understand. Space Marines are supposed to be huge but so are lots of other guys! The novels love to mention how ordinary people can be surgically reeingineered or given massive amounts of steroids to become huge and powerful and fast. Usually they end up being bodyguards for some crook or cult leader and an interrogator henchman of an Inquisitor barely takes them down or else kills them with pionics or high explosives. Fairly common mechanical enhancements can make people smarter, more loyal, better shots, and able to ignore pain. The Mechanicum likes to do stuff like that with their Skitari. For the rest you can put them in environmental armor.
So why are space marines considered so special? They seem to be rather easily duplicated (at least most features) by any world that can produce a hive (or in the case of mutants almost any world at all).
Maybe 1000 strong units with special equipment and a fortress monastary and their own fleet of barges and frigates would be hard to do, but you'd think every guard regiment and PDF unit would have a largish attachement of huge re-made/augmented guys with special training who serve as super soldiers way beyond what the so-called storm troopers can do and who can go head to head with a space marine or orc and lug heavy weapons about on one shoulder and do just fine. They could even be hypnotrained and made to fight servitors in their off hours to keep them in top shape and drill.
Mutants are hated...why? It's a huge waste.
If they took the mutants who would turn out to be naturally huge and well armored, screened them for sufficient intelligence (IQ of 95 and up), and hypno-trained them, coddeled them, educated or even brain washed the heck out of them, from a young age (while quietly chemically sterilizing them) they'd make a heck of a good fighting force! Motivate them to love the Imperium and use them then honor them. If they could isoalate those particular genes they might even stabilize those traits and create new types of useful abhumans. Why give chaos and other weirdos a ready made constituency ? Use them or lose them. Don't abuse them.

All of you stop trying to put reality and 40k together. Ive seen too many good men go insane that way,I cant see anymore.
by the way fashion changes alot, maybe in the future bell bottoms have come back, and big hats are in style, and about the big armor and very off proportions, its sort of all comic book style proportions.
and if space marines were as strong as there supposed to be, even 5 could beat and apocalypse army. 1+ save 2+ invulnerable, s10 ap1 bolters, assault 35 heavy bolters.

You're right, why not? I mean, in the book Ice Warriors, there's a whole Hive infested with Mutants and Cultists, but the Mutants are still loyal and actually help the main characters ! About the bionics thing, I guess making all of that stuff is expensive or fiercely controlled (probably both) by some big-wigs, because only assassins are the ones that get "upgrades" on a regular basis.

SHOULDER PADS - When I think of shoulder pads, I think of my Tau with their HUGE shoulder plates. The reason I imagine that the normal Fire Warriors have this (while pathfinders often do not), that that from a side angle, they do provide protection to a large portion of the torso. If the Fire Warriors are drawn into a "firing line" not only does it cover more of themselves, but the Fire Warriors behind them as well.

For me it's the the whole Fluff vs table thing.
Bolter
Fluff= massive damaging explosive weapons that kill squishies with area effect blasts, with several different types of ammo provided to regular marines whenever asked for.
Table=Str 4 AP 5 with only a 50% chance of wounding an ork and a 67% chance of wounding T3.

hmm... I hate how fluffwise SM are super invincible killing machines, yet playing against them with my Orks, they are mearly good at the killing part. My regular boyz mobs can kick the living gak out of SM in CC. I think they need to tone down the mega man fluff a tad.
personally I think rather than tone down the space marine fluff they need to stop the process of making battles bigger by making units cheaper. Sure making the units cheaper point wise means we have to buy more to field an army, but it goes completely against fluff.
In my opinion if marines cost like 40points a model in a basic tactical squad, and had equivilent stats the army would be much cooler.

Other things that bother me about 40K.
- Bolts (Bolter munitions) are caseless ammunition, but are always shown w/ spent shells flying everywhere.
- Orks are plants... Yet they are carnivores... That defecate.
- The Eldar are a dying race, but yet here they are approx. 25 years later... Shouldn't they have less on the army composition or shouldn't GW stop making the models to help them out?
