I think they should try something besides SMs on some stuff for once, for Christ sake I buy a tau battle force and the catalog and other tidbits have marines plastered all over them.

The Space Marines are so rare in the galaxy with maybe just a million, while armies like the IG, Tyranids, and Orks have billions if not trillions, so they should have greater representation

Sister of battle don't really count as a chapter of space marine in this context becasue they have there own codex and minitures ect.

I'd like to see the crimson fists back on the boxes, but I don't see them changing from Ultramarines any time soon.

Because the Blood Ravens were introduced by the Dawn of War games, some people think of them as a less... valid... chapter. Personally, I think that if the games are getting people into the more hobby-oriented aspects of 40k (the tabletop game, rather than just the video game and the universe), then it's all fair and good.

They got the first DoW, but yer i get what you mean, especially to add to continuity for those only just coming to the tabletop from the PC, going from a sea of red to a sea of blue would be daunting.
But i would love to see a whole range of chapters, especially Crimson Fist, Salamanders, Bleck Templars [i know they have their own range  ] and others

Haven't the bllod ravens been around longer than that, or am i thinking of blood angles?

Blood angels have been around forever, so you're probably thinking of them.
That's the reason I hate the Blood Ravens; terrible name.
We have the Raven Guard.
We have the Raven Wing.
We have the Blood Angels.
We also have a dozen other chapters with "blood" in the name, thanks to the Blood Angels being obsessed with it to an absurd degree, and passing this on to all their successors.
We DO NOT need another chapter with "blood" in the name, we DO NOT need another chapter with "raven" in the name, and we SURE AS HELL DON'T NEED a chapter called the "Blood Ravens".[/rant]

2 Games and 2 expansions. The were no Blood Ravens in Winter Assault's campaign, only Ultramarines.

They keep using Ultramarines because they're the basic chapter of the basic army, space marines. I agree though, more variety is needed.
