I've said this for years.
Most female mini's look like monsters.

Especially GW. Kind of made me wonder what passes for feminine in Nottingham.

Girl face details have to be delicate and subtle to be accurate and thats hard to do at 28mm scale.

this beautiful pieace from http://www.studiomcvey.com/

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

I'm such a nerd that this annoys me. Orks don't have sex! They spore. GW be consistent!

Eve and the inquisitor have Elfish features, not sure if that is by design

I'm thinking I like giant boob woman's face the most. All the other models have overly large facial features (eyes, mouth etc), which is prob what you want on a miniature, along with other heroic proportions, but I like the more proportional face of back-problem lady

I thought it was only the 40k ORKS that were fungus based, whereas the fantasy ORCS were flesh and blood? Hence the different spellings etc... mind you I could (and frequently am) be wrong.

I'd say that we're looking at a particular strain of Oddboy that only manifests when the Orks find themselves playing Bloodbowl. The "Cheerleadaz" form is encoded in the Orks fungal DNA along with Mekboyz, Painboyz and Runtherdz but in the GRIMDARK GRIM DARKNESS of WH40K those particular sequences aren't expressed very often.

Back on topic ... GW can do female faces that aren't monstrous. The House Escher gang from Necromunda looked pretty good. Even had one Juvie that bore a striking resemblance to Tank Girl.

Thanks to the PP in the post below I found it as one of the Warmachine Khador Widowmakers from Privateer Press.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman

That Black Witch is ridiculously good. How do people sculpt like that?

Seriously, hasslefree minis are NOT good famle sculpts, most of them are waay too round-faced for the GENERAL beauty-standard IMO.

Rackham makes real good looking female sculpts IMO.

Sculpt quality isn't measured by how well it adheres to society's standard of beauty.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Not at all, but when the thread regards to which is the most beautiful, it would be measured that way...

I'd vote for the bretonnian damsel on foot as the best female mini GW has ever produced. Not the really old one, but the more recent version that has the cloak and staff. And definitely not the one on horseback *shudder*. Second place goes to the demonettes which for some reason got replaced by crappier looking plastic ones last I checked. Way to go GW.

Blessed is the mind too small to doubt.
