As for the flamers, they stand and shoot the alter when he charges. If he survives that, they hit him with str 5 and he is dead, dead, dead. He has no ward save and only 2 wounds, anytime they hit him he takes a wound on a 2+. It sucked, he got destroyed.

Am I not equipping him right? I give him HoDA, alter kindred and the help of the hunt for 6 attacks or a sword of might for str 5 attacks.

I have always seen the alterkin with the HoDA, great weapon, and a 3+armor save

How do you get a 3+ armor save?

Dont know. I just remember opponents telling me he has a 3+ save.

Hm, I am not seeing how that is possible. He can take light armor and a shield plus the helm of the hunt for a 4+ armor save max, as far as I can tell. Maybe I am just missing it.

Ah, ok, I didn't know you got an extra +1 to your armor with the shield and hand weapon combo on top of the shield bonus. That is nice.

When i play my mates daemons with my Necrons (yes, 40k), I killed 10 bloodletters in ine turn. As massed firepower is a bit harder in Fantasy, try shooting the fast units like flesh hounds and Super-duper magicky units like the LoC. Then beat the crap out of them in HtH. Might work. Might not. It all depends on how the dice gods are feeling.
