Great job on the Avengers. They're my favourite Aspect Warriors and you've done a great job I believe on keeping the Aspect's colours while still maintaining coherency with the Biel-Tan colours as well. Awesome work!

Great work, very high standard. My first army was Biel Tann. I wish it had been this good!

Painting
Drybrush: N/A
Shading: Very good job.

Base: Basic work here. The base needs to have a color, basic black the way it came just makes it look like you were being lazy. I’d like to see some color there in the rocks. Just looks like you glued rocks to the base and went done.

Extras: Picked a group and went with it. Looks really good.

Concept: N/A

Overall: B

Making the bases better would put you at an A. Nice work.

You know I hate? Dire Avenger left arms.

Why is that mould line right in the fething fingers?!
Try as I might, it's nigh on impossible to clean up that area of the model withouout ruining it. Surely there are better places to run that mould line?

Language Mr Tek, youngsters on these forums and all that. Fething or are the oft used alternatives.

Anyway, I agree with you regarding mould lines on lines fingers, which seem to pop up on every model GW produces. I'd love to know how the 'Eavy Metal team gets rid of them.

I should have the rest of the Dire Avenger squad done at the end of the week. Next is going to be *drum roll* a forge world Avatar.

P.S. painting white sucks. My friends call me a masochist for even trying the biel-tan scheme.

I hear that! I'm doing a White Scars esque SM army as my secondary, and the red stains the brushes and makes painting with white a real chore.

Plus I'm still fairly new to the scene, so they arent as crisp as these eldar.

I'll tell you how. I didn't. You imagined it.

The board automatically edits swears. feth, gak, witch. You don't want to know what that originally said.

I actually typed ina few more but they weren't edited by the board. Man I know a lot more swears than the Dakka mods.
Should we start collecting a list of curse words for the modquisition?

Your painting is very crisp and clean. BTW, for a sony cybershot you can only zoom in after you've taken your picture. Look through your album until you find the pic you want and then you can, i think.

Either that or maybe he wanted the base rims to be black...?

I don't see why the base rim has to be another color. Would you have preferred the uglier than gak Goblin Green rims that a lot of people do?

I'm also not really sure what your deal is with drybrushing. Not everyone is a master painter and I'm pretty sure not everyone wants to be, either. I'd rather get models done quickly and have a fully painted army using certain techniques like drybrushing, as opposed to the impractical Golden Demon-styled "Spend 6 months painting a single figure and using nothing but blending and layering" painting you're apparently fond of. With elaborate bases taller than the model itself, of course.

I don't even want to get into the fact that you graded him.

In either case, I agree that I think the bases would look better if they were painted (the sand anyway, don't really care what color the rims are), but they look like great models regardless.

Alright! its been awhile.... Well to be honest I haven't been doing much of anything with the time between my last post and now.

But within the last month iv decided to suck it up and start painting my Forge World Avatar. After doing some looking around at

other peoples avatars and getting some inspiration I found one on coolminiornot.com that I thought would be and awesome bases

to go off of.

So this is what i got so far hope you guys like!

Looks good so far, I like the paint-scheme, and you did a great job on the face.

Not sure what techniques you are using, but it does look like it needs some wash, drybrushing, and/or highlighting. The gold looks like it needs a bit of dulling down, not sure about that though, need to see it stuck together first. Blue-tac is great for posing and checking your model for consistency. Just grab a bit of tac, and stick the pieces together as discreetly as possible. As long as your paint is dried (1-2 days would be advisable), the tac shouldn't harm the paint at all.

You have some really really nice paint jobs in here - I wish my Hive Fleet could be painted by you ;D

Writing internet fiction is kind of like throwing out messages in bottles into a churning sea composed entirely of messages in bottles, the chances of of your message getting noticed and someone being sent out to rescue you is punishingly slim. But every once in a blue moon, someone who owns a big boat made of money finds your message and agrees to let you ride on his big boat made of money as long as you keep making messages for him.

Because Matt Ward didn't write our Codex. Otherwise we would have had Scything Tyrants with Scything Nidfists that can re-roll re-rolls and that can have a bodyguard of 10 Scything Guards and a Scything Prime that could ride in a Scything Pod. Or something to that effect.

Looking good buddy! How big is that FW avvy? Could you take a pick of him next to a DA?

I really dislike the old metal Avvy, and am considering buying a FW one. Great job on the paint btw, the face is especially good. I agree with Wrex; something's missing on the body, but I'm not sure what that is.

Perhaps once it's all put together it'll look better

Wholey Scheite.

Man, i've been tempted to buy an eldar army. More for painting than actually playing. Hahaha. I think they're some of the most visually appealing armies out of the whole lot.

And would seem a lot easier to paint than orks.

Okidoke! Here is the model pretty much finished. There might be some subtle high lighting going on as I stare it down and

I am still brain storming on what to do with his base. I set him up next to a wraithlord and guardian for sizing.
