Just taken from my Codex... Pretty conclusive. While it does say "normal Limits", it also Clearly says that you may have two weapons, one of which is Two handed. Therefore you either have Two Weapons that are both Single Handed, or Two Weapons, one single and one two handed. Which means the Inquisitor Described can never happen.

I think all of the above posts are makin' my point.

What I think we need to do is go through all the codex and actually see how many models there are that actually have 2 special weapons. Not counting matching special weapons or anyone that has one that is a Powerfist/klaw.

Given the response so far it is just Calagar, Eldrad and the Eversor...an awful lot of chatter for just three models. And each one of those has an optional 3rd CCW (Yes I know, not going down the Calagar road again.)

What I guess I'm saying is if not the three listed above...Who does this rule actually apply to? If we talk our way out of the three above...why is the rule in the book if it doesn't apply to anyone? Is there a model in the game that only has 2 special weapons without a third CCW (that throws the rule into question) like those listed above?

Assault Squad Sergeant can have 2 Lightning Claws and a Normal CCW/Power Fist/Power Weapon. So 4 Models

Ok good! This is what I was lookin for...

The Assault Squad Sgt would fall in to the "Does the 2 Special weapon rule apply?" group if armed with the 2 LClaws and a Power weapon. Wait he can have 2 claws and a Power Fist...that is freakin stupid...and another whole topic, anyway.

There are two sub-groups in this list...those with 3 weapons two of which are paired (Ass squad sgt and Calagar) and those with a 3rd regular CCW(Eversor and Eldrad).

Ok, Good point, but still relevant.

Just a random thought... Could Eversor just drop the extra SCCW before the match and use only 1SCCW and 1CCW? Or is there any reason why he can't do that?

Space Marines 6700pts Tyranids 5000pts Tau 2350pts Blood Angels 2850pts Orcs & Goblins 1350pts

Perhaps the fact the Eversor has no Weapon Options and just comes "as is"?

Orcs have a character that this affects as well, Mad doc grotsnik has a power claw, a posion weapon and a pistol.

Iirc the black templars codex would allow their commander, their chaplain and their sergeants to all have builds that would fall under this are as well.

Abbadon might have had this problem in earlier forms, but the chaos codex basically just made a special rule so that he uses multiple special weapons and gets a LOT of extra attacks from them, so he cheats

Dont have access to a dark eldar or space wolf codex atm, so Im not too sure what they might be able to do about multiple special weapons.

Sliggoth

Why does my eldar army run three fire prisms? Because the rules wont let me use four in (regular 40k).
