I think it is absolutely amazing. The biggest problem with converting another creature into a squigolith is that it still looks like the starting creature, but these look great! I can't even tell and their not painted yet! I'm going to keep track of this, cause I want to see the end product!!!

That's awesome!!!

My only thought is that, with that loop around his horn, he wouldn't be able to turn his head. But maybe that's the point... it helps the driver keep him going straight!

I also love the "rope bridge" going down to the ground on the left side... and all the other crazy, orky touches you've got on there!

Excellent

Actually, the whole patform section on his head is seperate from the howdah- so the driver would be pointed wherever the squiggoth is lookin

Its a close fit to the gunner for the kannon, but its coming together well.

Ah! That makes more sense, then

There's so much detail, it's hard to pick what to look at! I can't wait to see it covered in orks... that will just seal the deal right there

At first I was a bit sceptical but then I saw a squiggoth take shape. Well done.

Cheese Elemental-Love does not bloom in 40k. Love burns. It gets turned inside out, set on fire, raped, shot with bolters, and beaten with a crowbar.

These are really great models, and I love what you are doing with them.

The one thing I would suggest as a method of making them look different, and also adding some more detail to the models, would be to extend the tails a LOT. You could drill a hole in the stubby bit there is now, glue in a piece of coat-hanger wire and twist it into a different shape for each one. Lots of putty, some carved sprue or plasticard for spines, and a big ol' spikey-ball-mace-blade-ax-wopping thing on the end! That would make each model look different - you could even put some kind of gun on the mek one.

Thanks guys. The biggest reason for a lack of updates has been from my migraines flaring up on a near daily basis. I had planned on having at least one of the Sgquiggoths done over a week ago :/

The second distraction was my Hellhound variant, which is pretty much done( and not nearly as much fun as makin ork stuff).

I have gotten some more work done on Gobber, but with jsut 1 or 2 hours a day without a migraine I do as much modeling as I can and dont waste any time takin pics. I'll see what I can do though, I do wanna keep better track of the progress than I have been.

STINKIN ORKS!!!!

However a very nice squiggoth, I really like the howdah and all the orky bits on it. Gonna have to get some plasticard for myself, havent used it before but seeing your post and others just wants me want to try it out.

lol Flash, I hadnt thought of actually putting a couple on the net, maybe have one tangled up in it...

@Tzar, plasticard is nifty stuff. I started using it for conversions, and now Ive moved into using it for scratch builds as well. Im going to be doing some work on my Ultramarines soon, and there will likely be some scratch built razorback turrets and typhoon add ons for the speeders I have

Very nice work.

Looking pretty good so far. The head still looks a lot like a Reek so far. Maybe add some green stuff to the face or teeth?
