eh, I think penal legion troopers would be far more unnerving, as the enemy RECOGNISES those they are killing. And they make a FANTASTIC meat shield. C'mon, you have to SOMEHOW squeeze some penal legionarres in there, that way you get the psycotic rules and such.

I don't have the rules here, but it works kind of like chaos possesed marines, just less randomly killy. At the start of the game you rol a D6 for the squad. Depending on the roll they could all count as having an additional close combat weapon, aussault weapons, or fleet (I think). A lot like possesed marinz when you think about it... (scowl suspiciously)

ok basically weve made the theme for the guardsmens predicament, and then extraction.

now, i got some news ^^

my mate and i have started a campaign following these guys lives. so we started out doing a small cityfight with the adversaries hordes of mutants. i lost so i made up this bit o' fluff for that.

"Fuckin' peg it!" screamed Corman. they were almost completely cut off from their waiting chimera. high command had ordered the guard to hold the chem factorys for as long as possible. it had seemed a radiculous idea, but they had stuck to the plan, after all the guardsmen does not question his superiors.

Rohas got to the waiting transport first, diving into its dark confines. he looked back out and saw his squad sprinting the last few meatres between them and their salvation. thats when everything started to go wrong. he watched the squad sprint down the last stretch of trench towards the chimera. then, the sandbag wall of the trench fell down on top of the guardsmen. Corman had managed to clear the trench just before the rest of the squad had been crushed, and was running headlong towards the tank, screaming the whole way. just behind him, Rohas could see mutants descend upon the trapped guardsmen, punching and strangling the dying men. he saw the lead one push his disjointed fingers through the goggles of sveich, the comms man. sveich screamed only for a few seconds before he was put out his misery by a sharp bladed potrusion was punched through his head.

corman was almost there. he was but metres from his salvation. feeling sudden elation, he span on the spot and let rip with his autogun. he never saw his killer. it was tall and slender. it used to bear the hallmarks of being female, but all signs of femeninity had dissapeared. the creature grabbed cormans helmet and wrenched it off. before he could turn round, the thing punched one of its malformed fists through his skull.

Rohas screamed out from terror and closed the ramp of the chimera. he was plunged into darkness. soon he heard the sounds of hammering on the sides of the tank. why wasnt the tank driving away?? he opened the dorr to the crew compartment slowy, shotgun in hand. he was greeted by a scene of a nightmare. the men were ripped apart. intestines, bowels muscles. ears, teeth, they all decorated the interior. and crouched in the middle was a twisted child, with horrific mutations. it giggled madly. Rohas let out an inhuman roar and shot the abomination in the face. there was no escape now, he realised. only the chance for revenge. he felt insanity gripping his mind. he welcomed it. turning, he headed for the hatch door. opening it he marched out into the sunlight, firing his shotgun into the waiting freaks.

His last thought was: the sky is beautiful.

Perhaps you could say he somehow amazingly carves his way through them.

No, but you can LEGALLY ally them to your army. And the Witch Hunter dex practically SPOUTS how common renegade inquisitors are, so one of them is entirely possible.

yeah, but my guard army absolutely despises the inquisition in all forms. as they were prosecuted for saving all who could be saved from the planet (the military)

oh incidently you know i mentioned a noblemens daughter going mutent?

well im using her as a psyker of some type. instead of mutating she became a powerful pysker. im planning on using this model
basically ill GS a bandage over her eyes and maybe some bindings on her hands. then ill have a command squad shes attatched to all armed with cattle prodder equivalents. maybe the junior officer will be a bit of a pervert. weird still might work. meh

Not a bad idea, duaghter could be a Primaris Psyker. Will need a bit of work on the conversion though. She can't LOOK dead.

Also, there are INQUISITORS who despise the inquisiton. Wierd, huh?

no no no she can look kinda dead cos shes one of the mutents.. plus a handage over the eyes covers up the empty sockets, and the missing nose will just be accounted to being a mutent freak.
