I have been trying to remember the name, but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
It is a RPG, you are a vampire and I think you might get allies, actually I am pretty sure you get a team to play with.
It reminded me a bit of the devil may cry series w/o all the fancy jumping. Man, I need to play this game again.
"Note"
I think it might have been Vampire: the masquerade, not sure though.
Sounds like Vampire: the masquerade to me (only I never got into the non-modern day stuff - although I did play in a campaign set in the 1400s, but this was several years prior to the release of Dark Ages.)

Indeed.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Except Vampires generally stop draining you when you're dead. Lawyers have no such restrictions.
Where did the vampire myth come from?
It didn't come from any one particular place. It's one of those human myth things. Many cultures have a legend that is analogous to a vampire. Some may drink blood, some just consume your chi, or other "life energy".

I read somewhere that the European vampire came out of con artists who visited Gypsy camps and pretended to fight off evil spirits for money. The myths about the spirits grew and were elaborated upon and there wasn't any particular consensus on what constituted a vampire because these jokers were operating around on their own. Naturally, all of the "vampires" were invisible but there were all sorts of conflicting super powers they may have had, but the blood sucking issue was one of the few that stuck.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus
