My opinion - I wouldn't take a Monolith if I was playing 2835 points a side, and I'd filled every other FoC selection, having spent exactly 2500.

I'd take Heavy Destroyers, because they're Necrons, not overcosted AV14 faeces.

Also, Blast weapons are NEVER good anti-tank. I suppose you also consider the Fire Prism t be god anti-tank? Try using one as such then.

Monoliths are good, yes. They're not the end all be all of the Necron army though. I typcally take one, just one. Then I load up on six Heavy Destroyers because they rock.

Monoliths, while being the single most durable tank in the game can still be dropped turn one with a single shot from a lascannon, railgun, or even a meltagun.

Take a monolith. If the points are high enough take two monoliths. After that load up on Destroyers Destroyers Destroyers including Heavy Destroyers. Their mobility, durability and incredible firepower are super good.
