All will be revealed in Germany in 2 weeks, give or take...
It looks like you'll have to be 'in store' to get it though?
Now THAT is lame, if true...

Ok, I thought you were making a joke because everybody here has been speculating about it lately (I even hear some have sleepless nights).
The content of the secret box will be revealed mid August. Maybe at Games Day Germany, which is the 16th. After they reveal what will be inside you can pre-order it, and collect it at a GW store at the release date, which is september 6th if I'm not mistaken. Not sure if you can only pick it up at the store, but I think so.
I recently spoke to someone who claims to have seen the product inside (and the source was as credible as can be in cases like these), and he gave a few spoilers. Among other things he said the price will be about 90 Euros and there will be approx. 30 miniatures inside.
Sounds like Space Hulk, but GW has been denying it. So either they lie, or it is something else. I wouldn't rule out either possibility.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Some of that info contradicts what I was told, like the price and their claim that it is something they have never done before (the employee said they did do this before, but not this good). I'm almost 100% sure he said I would be able to pre order it and pick it up the day it is released.
Of course we can't be sure if any of the info is correct until it is actually revealed, so who knows.

thanks for the info
so it looks like it will be £50?
narrows it down to either hulk (finally!) or yet another battleforce (they wouldnt do all this for that)

lets face it, they have never done anything like this before, so that rules out battleforces (unless the fishmen are on thier way lol)
only other things they keep around the £50 mark are box games, and with all the hype about hulk i wouldnt be supprised if it was.

Hopefully, when you open the box, it'll have nothing but a piece of paper that says "You guessed it, we're lowering prices" and everyone will be so happy they won't give a s**t that they spent money on an empty box.

So, you're telling me that either:
1. Those four people worked DAMNED hard to make all the "whatevers" that they're going to sell.
OR
2. They killed everyone else who worked on the project, like an ancient Egyptian pharoah.
I call shenanigans.

I've lost all interest in any future releases after GD Chicago where they showed us just how tight-lipped they had become. They apparently don't want me to get excited about their products, and it's working.

GW has a product that is being mass produced in china right now this "mystery box" is likely to be it. All signs point towards pre-paint space hulk.

My local recieved a shipment of shirts apparently related to the box.
On the front it had a Chaos Mark and the words: "Everything you've been told is a lie"
and on the rear: "The Emperor is the only truth"
I saw the shirts myself but can't tell for certain if they are MB related.

Precisely how I feel. Part of me hopes this is just a phase that will pass once they see what a horrible marketing idea it is to utterly deprive your fans of anything they might possibly get excited about, and fire the genius responsible. But I get the sinking feeling they will ignorantly carry on like this. Shame really. I used to love talking about upcoming releases. GW has taken that away, effectively killing my enthusiasm for everything they do.

GW has been moving in this direction for a while now.
I think they figured the negative attention some releases were garnering outweighed any positive benefits?
Anyway, I still don't think GW has 'figured out' the Internet yet...
