I agree with you...to an extent. It is true that the figures we buy and paint are "ours" and if they bring us enjoyment that matters. That being said, there is also reality- sometimes we think we are better than we are. Ever paint a figure, take digital pic of it and then realize, seeing it in the picture, that there is a lot that could have been better? There is a degree of subjectiveness to how "good" a figure is but some things are objective- is the base painting clean?, are the paints thinned properly?, is the highlighting right?

If the poster put up his pics for honest feedback then that is a step forward for him- because he will need to improve in many areas. If he posted to "show off" his figures- well, he should wait a while and hone is skills. I know that sounds harsh but that's the reality. He's better off in the long run if people give him honest criticism so he can get better(but in a not so mean way).
